Read Alouds (With strong Biblical messaging)
Little Pilgrim’s Progress
A children’s version of Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan. Little Christian is on a journey to live with the King in the Celestial City, but along the way he faces trials and temptations of many kinds.
The Mansoul Chronicles
“An epic tale of the battle for the human heart and mind.” The city of Mansoul has been deceived by an evil dragon, and the King must send His Son to redeem the city.
The Giant Killer
A knight must slay Giant Sloth and Giant Rage while also facing other temptations. This book is a story within a story: a mother reads it to her children to teach diligence in character and relationships. As the story unfolds, you also see how the children apply these lessons in their own lives.
Sunshine Country
Similar to Heidi, this story follows a young boy growing up in the Czechoslovakian mountains who discovers a Bible. Jesus becomes a true friend to him, and his faith impacts the entire community.
Lightseekers
Finn, his sister, and their best friend want to leave the dark city where they grew up. Ehrit invites them to join his quest to find the Lake of Light. Along the way, they learn that trust is built over time and experience. They may not always understand his choices, but eventually see how his plans work together for good.
The Restorationist
In a world where gifted people can enter famous paintings, children must decide whether to work for the “Destinationists,” who change the artist’s original intent, or become Restorationists who fix what has been broken. Along the way, they learn about trust, forgiveness, and appreciating each person’s unique gifts.
Hunger Winter
Follow a brother and sister as they try to reconnect with their family during WWII in the Netherlands. A 12-year-old boy must care for his younger sister while wrestling with his faith and remembering the lessons his father taught him.
The Prince Warriors
A group of friends must put on the Armor of God after being called to a mysterious realm where the spiritual world becomes visible.
